Building a place where God’s glory dwells

The River Church of Waupun has been formed as a fellowship of believers with a VISION: “Build Me A House Where My Glory Dwells.”

Who we are and what we believe:

The River Church is a local fellowship of born-again Christians who believe in and operate in the biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit for the glory of King Jesus and the salvation of man. The calling of this body is to be Kingdom-minded as we equip workers to reach and change the world.
The River Church is led by its pastors and board of elders and deacons, who are accountable to Christ as Head of the Church, to the five-fold giftings in the body, and to its regional and national Fellowship of Christian Assemblies.
We believe in the Bible as the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We believe in the TRIUNE GODHEAD of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-eternal and co-equal Persons of the Godhead, with the Father taking the lead role. We believe Jesus Christ was fully the Son of God, Messiah, Savior, Redeemer; that He came to earth as fully human. We believe His death on the cross once and for all time accomplished atonement for man’s sin, making it possible for man to receive forgiveness and eternal life. We believe Jesus rose in bodily form, defeating death, and is currently seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven, interceding for us. We believe He shall return to earth one last time to bring about the fulfillment of the Father’s plans, bring judgment on Satan, and usher in His Eternal Kingdom. We believe the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, lives in each saved believer, bringing revelation and power for witnessing, sanctification, and ministry to others.
We believe in the Body of Christ and its spiritual unity. We believe it is made up of all those who believe in and rely on Christ for their salvation, past, present, and future, from all nations.
We believe there are ANGELIC AND DEMONIC BEINGS who operate on a spiritual plane, doing either God’s or Satan’s bidding but subject to the superior person and position of Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Thus says the Lord:
“Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?
For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the Lord.
“But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.”
